UMA is the canonical source of truth that blockchains use to verify real-world data.
Risk Labs is the foundation and core team behind UMA and its products, including oSnap, Oval, and the Across protocol.
The team operates as a cohesive culture, focusing on UMA and Across, which are decentralized protocols governed by community members in DAOs.
The role is for a general software engineer who can work across the product and tech stack, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as front-end or smart contract engineering.
The tech stack includes Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, Solidity, web3, ethers, hardhat, and React.
Responsibilities include implementing, testing, and auditing open-source client libraries for UMA smart contracts, writing backend APIs, maintaining protocol solvency with off-chain bots, developing smart contracts, and building user-friendly frontends.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of full-time experience in Engineering at a software or financial services technology organization.
A minimum of 1+ years of full-time experience on a blockchain-based project, with knowledge of smart contract development, is required.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and write secure, high-quality code.
A passion for blockchain technology, cryptonomic protocol design, game theory, and decentralized finance is essential.

Salaries for this role range from $100,000 to $200,000 (USD), with token allocations that can grow with voting rewards.
