Description:
Risk Labs is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to help design and scale their data infrastructure, primarily focusing on the Across protocol.
The role involves architecting and building data pipelines that are essential for data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities include indexing complex on-chain data for ease of use, designing large-scale data pipelines, and collaborating with data analysts.
The position requires writing and reviewing code in a collaborative open-source environment, emphasizing clean code practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of full-time experience in Data Engineering at a software, financial services, or related technology organization.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with databases and data pipelines is required.
Outstanding critical thinking skills, a low ego, high curiosity, and comfort in being wrong are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and write secure, clean code.
A passion for blockchain technology, cryptonomic protocol design, game theory, and decentralized finance is necessary.
A growth mindset and a desire to learn from and mentor others are important.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in writing, are required.
Experience with blockchain-based projects, such as hackathons or personal projects, is a significant bonus but not mandatory.
While specific language experience is not crucial, familiarity with Python, Solidity, Typescript, and GCP is preferred.
