Description:
Equip is seeking a full-stack Sr Software Engineer to build new healthcare web applications and support existing ones in the Cloud.
The engineer will be responsible for supporting releases, monitoring, triaging and fixing production issues, and timely execution of projects.
The role requires designing new features, clear communication, working across multiple facets of the project, and mentoring less experienced developers.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a passion for creating elegant solutions, and a deep appreciation for systems design.
Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable software, becoming an expert in domain areas, staying updated on development best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
The engineer will also develop documentation, assist in planning and estimating development work, and help balance feature delivery with tech debt reduction.
Requirements:
A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React, PostGreSQL (or other relational databases), and AWS services is highly preferred.
Candidates should be able to write clear, maintainable, extensible, and testable code.
Experience in designing and implementing web or mobile applications with a microservice back end is necessary.
Candidates must have experience building highly scalable and performant distributed systems with high availability.
Strong communication and coordination skills with engineering and product teams are required.
Experience working in an Agile environment and understanding common web protocols such as ReST and OAuth is essential.
Candidates must be able to work in Eastern or Central time zones.
