Description:

Across is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join the Across protocol team, working remotely.
The role involves designing and building protocol upgrades from idea to deployment.
Responsibilities include implementing smart contracts with a focus on security, simplicity, ease of use, and gas-efficiency.
The engineer will participate in code reviews and mentorship within a collaborative open-source ecosystem, helping others grow their technical expertise.
The position also requires writing complementary off-chain code to interact with the protocol, ensuring high correctness, efficiency, and anti-fragility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of full-time experience in Software Engineering within a software, financial services, or related organization.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with blockchain-based projects, including hackathons and personal projects, is required.
Outstanding critical thinking skills, a low ego, high curiosity, and comfort in being wrong are essential.
A passion for great software and a desire to understand the why and how of all work is necessary.
Demonstrated ability to apply existing skills to new technologies is required.
A growth mindset with a desire to learn from and mentor others is important.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in written form, are essential.
