Description:
Equip is a virtual program that helps families recover from eating disorders at home with comprehensive care created by experts and individuals in recovery.
The company is seeking a mobile Sr Software Engineer responsible for building new healthcare web and mobile applications and supporting existing ones in the Cloud.
The engineer will support releases, monitor, triage, and fix production issues, and ensure timely execution of projects.
The role requires designing new features, clear communication, collaboration across multiple project facets, and mentoring less experienced developers.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a passion for creating elegant solutions, and a deep appreciation for systems design.
Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable software, being an expert in React Native, and staying updated on development best practices.
The engineer will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, follow best practices like automated testing, and develop documentation for existing and proposed architectures.
The role involves planning, estimating, and scheduling development work while balancing feature delivery, tech debt reduction, and maintainable design.
Requirements:
A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Experience with the following technology stack is highly preferred: React Native (iOS/Android apps), React, TypeScript, Java, PostGreSQL (or other relational databases), and AWS services.
Proficiency in tools such as Git and GitHub is necessary.
Candidates should be able to write clear, maintainable, extensible, and testable code.
Experience in designing and implementing mobile applications with a microservice back end is required.
Candidates must have experience building highly scalable and performant distributed systems with high availability.
The role requires experience in communicating and coordinating with engineering and product teams.
Experience working in and contributing to an Agile environment is essential.
Understanding of common web protocols such as ReST and OAuth is necessary.
Candidates must be able to work in Eastern or Central time zones, either 9 - 5 Eastern or 8 - 4 Central.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 per year, with base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual 15% target cash bonus, adding an additional $21,000 - $25,500 to the total compensation.
Total target cash compensation ranges from $161,000 to $195,500, including salary and bonus.
