Remote Application Software Engineer, Endpoint Security

• The role is for an Application Software Engineer on the Oneleet Agent team, responsible for developing and maintaining a cross-platform endpoint security agent.
• The engineer will work on low-level system configuration automation and high-level API design for seamless communication between endpoints and the cloud platform.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing agent functionality for Windows, macOS, and Linux, building configuration automation, developing secure communication protocols, and implementing real-time threat detection.
• The engineer will also create telemetry collection systems, collaborate with the security team, optimize agent performance, and develop testing strategies for multi-OS compatibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience, focusing on systems programming or security software.
• Strong experience with Go and JavaScript for building production-grade applications is required.
• A deep understanding of operating system internals across Windows, macOS, and Linux is necessary.
• Experience with low-level configuration automation and system administration across multiple platforms is essential.
• Proven experience with gRPC or REST API design and implementation is required.
• Candidates should have experience building software that runs with elevated privileges while maintaining security.
• A strong understanding of endpoint security concepts and best practices is necessary.
• Experience with cross-platform development challenges and solutions is required.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex system-level issues are essential.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with Electron, Windows APIs, macOS system frameworks, Linux kernel interfaces, cybersecurity background, certificate management, compliance frameworks, and real-time data streaming.
