Description:

Act as the primary security partner for the Walrus team, embedding security practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Lead security assessments for new features and contribute to broader security initiatives within the Mysten ecosystem.
Drive a "security-by-design" culture, ensuring security considerations are prioritized from the design phase.
Utilize AI-driven tools for security automation and focus on high-impact security research.
Provide strategic oversight on infrastructure and product security issues.
Collaborate with engineering leadership to balance feature velocity with security posture.
Mentor engineers and establish security standards and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in security engineering at a Staff (E6) level or equivalent.
Extensive experience as a security generalist across infrastructure, application, and cryptographic security.
Proficiency in automated security tooling and using AI/ML for security improvements.
Expertise in collaborating with engineering teams to identify and mitigate design flaws.
Excellent communication skills to influence technical direction and lead initiatives.
