Remote Applied AI Engineer

Description:

• Monte Carlo is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build products that ensure the trustworthiness of AI agents.
• The role involves end-to-end problem solving, from research and prototyping to production integration with engineering and data science teams.

Requirements:

• Proven experience building autonomous agents in production, not just frameworks or tools.
• Experience in evaluating and monitoring agents post-launch, including owning an evaluation framework.
• Proficiency in Python with a background in ML or data science.
• Ability to work from ambiguous problem statements and design experiments.
• Daily use of AI tools for coding and research.
• Preference for shipping solutions quickly rather than polishing them indefinitely.
• Nice to have: knowledge of statistics, experience with MCP servers, and familiarity with data/cloud technologies like Snowflake and Databricks.
