Description:

Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to develop and enhance their data and analytics infrastructure.
The position is fully remote and based in Latin America.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of talented data scientists in big data analytics and applied AI.
Candidates should have a passion for designing and implementing advanced machine learning and deep learning models, especially in the Generative AI space.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python for production-level projects, proficiency in machine learning and deep learning techniques such as CNNs and Transformers, and hands-on experience with PyTorch.
Responsibilities include designing and prototyping ML/DL models, productionizing them end-to-end, and integrating solutions into data pipelines and services.
The role involves close collaboration with data engineers, software developers, and product owners to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable systems.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience with Python in production environments.
A solid background in machine learning and deep learning, including CNNs, Transformers, and LLMs, is essential.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch or similar frameworks, including training, custom modules, and optimization, is required.
A proven track record of deploying ML solutions is necessary.
Expertise in pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn is required.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tooling such as JIRA and Confluence is preferred.
A strong foundation in statistics and experimental design is necessary.
Excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
