Description:

Execute database migrations with enterprise and Private Cloud customers, primarily MySQL and Postgres.
Assume ownership of the PlanetScale relationship and migration work, transitioning from ad-hoc to structured processes.
Productise repeatable migration patterns to enhance efficiency and reduce bespoke solutions.
Automate recurring migration requests to minimize manual effort.
Act as a generalist migration resource for broader app and service migrations.
Distribute knowledge through documentation and runbooks to empower Sales, CS, and engineering teams.
Monitor market offerings to keep the database services competitive and advise on necessary changes.

Requirements:

Strong expertise in both MySQL and Postgres, aiming for balanced capability.
Direct experience with database migrations in a customer-facing role, owning technical execution.
Ability to identify and productise repeatable patterns in migration processes.
Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills for remote collaboration.
Comfort in defining part of the role's scope and shaping future functions.
