Description:

Olo is a leading SaaS platform that accelerates digital transformation in the restaurant industry by helping customers deliver personalized and profitable guest experiences.
The role is fully remote, allowing flexibility to work from anywhere within Northern Ireland.
As an intermediate Front End Software Engineer on the ‘Serve’ team, you will contribute to a dynamic web ordering platform that serves many major restaurant brands in the US.
You will work with a highly experienced engineering team of 14 engineers, split into two squads, and led by a dedicated Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities include demonstrating understanding of the technology stack, handling small-to-medium features independently, writing clean code, collaborating with Product, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to reliable distributed systems.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Engineering is necessary.
Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and NextJS is required, with the ability to implement moderately complex features and algorithms.
Experience with version control tools (e.g., GitHub) and participation in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity) is essential.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, with an understanding of test-driven development (TDD) principles is required.
Familiarity with distributed systems, including building scalable and resilient services (e.g., Redis, Kafka, AWS infrastructure) is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective collaboration with team members are essential.
