Remote Frontend Application Developer (Remote)

Description:

• The company is seeking a frontend developer to build key applications, libraries, and tools for interacting with the Lightning Network.
• The role involves working on the second-layer of blockchains, specifically enhancing traditional Bitcoin wallets.
• Applications are built using NextJS, React, MobX, and EmotionJS, and communicate with a Lightning daemon over the Lightning Node Connect (LNC) protocol.
• Responsibilities include writing frontend browser-based UIs, integrating and building APIs, and writing automated tests using Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
• The developer will interact with stakeholders to ensure user-facing products have compatible UX for individuals and companies building on Lightning.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for Bitcoin and a desire to simplify its use for everyone.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have strong expertise in Javascript (Typescript) and experience building applications with React.
• A solid understanding of modern web application solutions targeting various browsers and platforms is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate solid engineering practices, including a robust testing methodology and documentation.
• Prior contributions to open source projects and experience leading software development projects are essential.
• An understanding of Bitcoin, other digital currencies, and cryptography is preferred.
• Experience with empathetic, human-centered software design is necessary.
• Candidates should possess the ability and eagerness to quickly learn, take ownership of projects, and develop new skills.
• Experience with React Native is considered a plus.
