Remote Full Stack Developer(DISA)

Description:

• Horizon Industries Limited is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support the engineering, modernization, and sustainment of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Integrated Defense Enterprise Acquisition System (IDEAS).
• This position is remote and requires an active Secret Clearance.
• The role involves full lifecycle development, system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and Tier 2/3 operational support in a secure DoD environment.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining application components using Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and database-driven components.
• The developer will also be responsible for developing secure REST and SOAP web services, building integrations with external DoD and federal systems, and implementing software according to DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Additional duties include supporting deployment activities in cloud-hosted environments, collaborating with Product Owners and SMEs, participating in sprint planning, and providing technical support to resolve incidents and defects.
• The developer will maintain technical specifications, integration documentation, test scripts, and release notes, while also supporting Change Advisory Boards and Configuration Control Boards as required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Proficiency in Java (JDK), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, relational databases, web service development (REST/SOAP), CI/CD tools, and middleware is required.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GovCloud equivalents is necessary.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and defensive coding practices is essential.
• Candidates should have experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
