HTS Assist is Hopper's AI assistant for travel, handling flight changes, cancellations, refunds, and bookings via chat and voice.
Seeking a senior full stack engineer to manage the realtime and voice layer, working with React/TypeScript, Scala, Python, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

6+ years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership of production systems and full-stack capabilities.
Experience with realtime systems (voice applications, WebRTC/SIP, low-latency products).
Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript) and back-end technologies (Scala or JVM languages, Python).
Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS) and designing RESTful APIs or microservices.
Familiarity with AI coding tools and a focus on system operability (SLAs, observability).
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Bonus: Experience in conversational AI, cloud telephony platforms, or travel industry technologies.
