Description:

  • SYSTABUILD is building a shared cloud and platform foundation for a group of leading software companies in the construction, CAD, and ERP domain.
  • The Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in designing, operating, and evolving the central cloud infrastructure and platform services.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact across multiple product teams and companies.
  • The engineer will shape how cloud infrastructure is built, operated, secured, and scaled across SYSTABUILD.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing platform solutions that enhance the reliability, security, and scalability of the Database Platform infrastructure.
  • The role involves providing technical leadership in AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and security for cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • The engineer will mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • The position requires taking an active role in shaping the team's strategy, roadmap, and architecture.
  • The engineer will lead and drive incident management and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring a stable and predictable environment.
  • The role includes defining, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing) to ensure the Platform meets availability targets.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
  • Solid experience with cloud infrastructure solutions such as ECS, EC2, AppSync, Amazon RDS, S3, or comparable technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Experience with multi-account AWS setups, landing zones, and governance models.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or similar.
  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural and leadership responsibilities.
  • Nice to have: Deep understanding of database internals, including performance tuning, high availability setups, backup and recovery, and replication strategies.
  • Nice to have: Practical experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Nice to have: Hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, security groups, NACLs, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect).
