Description:

  • Lead the architectural decisions for Xero’s accounting platform, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  • Oversee the Vancouver engineering hub, focusing on modernizing the ledger for future scalability and AI readiness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering highly available, distributed backend systems and designing high-throughput services.
  • Proficiency in modern backend technologies (C#, Java, Go, C++) and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Strong skills in system architecture, API design, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Experience with financial systems or durable execution engines is a plus.
