Remote Principal Cloud Engineer

Description:

• Lead the technical integrity of Coalfire’s FedRAMP reference architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Set engineering standards for architecture patterns, security baselines, and automation frameworks.
• Review and approve custom architecture decisions and promote improvements to reference architecture.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for delivery teams and mentor engagement architects.
• Keep reference architectures updated with evolving FedRAMP requirements.
• Collaborate with sales on strategic pursuits and represent Coalfire in the FedRAMP community.

Requirements:

• BS or higher in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in cloud security engineering and architecture, with principal-level experience.
• Hands-on FedRAMP authorization experience.
• Proven design-authority experience and documentation skills.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and compliance automation.
• Deep knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC, and DoD compliance standards.
• Professional/Expert-level certification in at least one major cloud platform.
