Remote Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer (R-00219)

Description:

• Research, design, and evaluate quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions, including post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms.
• Assess existing systems to identify vulnerabilities related to quantum computing threats.
• Design and implement strategies for transitioning to quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Develop, prototype, test, and optimize cryptographic algorithms and security components.
• Evaluate and implement NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.
• Perform cryptographic testing and security analysis to validate implementations.
• Develop crypto-agility architectures for efficient cryptographic updates.
• Support integration of quantum-safe cryptography with various security technologies.
• Collaborate with teams to translate quantum-security requirements into solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and recommendations for post-quantum readiness.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years IT experience, with at least 5 years in Quantum Computing and Cryptography.
• Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory.
• Proficiency in quantum programming languages (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq).
• Expertise in cryptographic protocols and public-key infrastructure (PKI).
• Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java.
• Experience with classical and quantum simulation tools.
• Ability to assess cryptographic inventory and migration priorities.
• Experience in project management within large organizations or government agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and certifications in IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III.
