Description:

Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain with AI.
The company’s platform integrates with existing distributor systems, automating tasks and reducing failure points in global goods movement.
The team consists of 70 members, with approximately 45 in engineering, located across North and South America.
The role of a senior security engineer is open due to the rapid growth of the customer base, which increases the security surface of the platform.
The engineer will own security outcomes, identify high-risk areas, partner with engineering and product teams, and lead remediation from design to production.
Responsibilities include identifying security risks, owning application security tooling, leading threat modeling and risk assessments, validating findings from bug bounty and pentests, and leading security monitoring and incident response.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong security engineering background with hands-on experience in securing production systems.
The ability to drive remediation across teams with clear priorities and follow-up is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of deliverables and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced, product-focused environment are required.
Previous experience in high-growth startups or small teams is considered a plus.
