Description:

Lead the security research function at Maze, shaping products and AI understanding of real risk.
Define methodologies for vulnerability research, validate threats, and collaborate with AI/ML, product, and engineering teams.
Surface novel vulnerabilities and build narratives to enhance Maze's credibility in the security community.

Requirements:

6+ years of hands-on security research experience with a strong track record in investigating vulnerabilities.
Deep knowledge of cloud (AWS) and application security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
Proven ability to translate research into product outcomes, working closely with engineering and product teams.
Demonstrated public presence in security research through publications, talks, or community engagement.
Experience in a security tooling or research organization with insights on effective research operations.
Strong coding and scripting skills (Python, Go, etc.) for automating research and creating PoCs.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex research to technical audiences.
Leadership experience in mentoring researchers and setting standards in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable in a startup environment with ambiguity and limited structure.
