Remote Senior Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• Join a mission-driven climate tech company using AI and satellite imagery to manage vegetation risks for electric utilities.
• Work within a multidisciplinary Vegetation Modeling team to improve algorithms related to vegetation and utility infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, geospatial engineering, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python and geospatial libraries (GDAL, Rasterio, Shapely, Fiona, GeoPandas).
• Experience with scientific Python tools (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, Pandas) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Comfortable with satellite/aerial imagery and geospatial datasets.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster).
• Ability to lead projects and communicate technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for climate action and solving environmental challenges through technology.
