They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer Python (m/w/d) for their Cologne location, to start as soon as possible.
The role involves developing and improving the new leading master data system in the outdoor advertising sector.
Responsibilities include analyzing requirements from the specialist department, finding suitable solutions, and communicating these within the team.
The engineer will ensure optimal performance and code quality of the solutions.
The position also requires utilizing AI-based tools and generative AI, such as LLM-Prompting, to bring in new ideas.
Additionally, the engineer will act as a mentor, supporting other team members through code reviews and sharing experiences and technology know-how.

Requirements:

A completed degree, vocational training, or relevant professional experience in the field of computer science is required.
Ideally, candidates should have at least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering or a comparable position.
Experience in prompting Large Language Models (LLMs) and working with generative AI is preferred, or a strong motivation to learn about these topics.
Candidates must be able to create web applications using Python/Django and have experience working with ERP systems.
Experience with the Python/Django REST Framework, pytest, and optionally databases like MSSQL is required.
Proficiency in both German and English is necessary.
