Description:

  • They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer Python (m/w/d) for their Cologne location, to start as soon as possible.
  • The role involves developing and improving the new leading master data system in the outdoor advertising sector.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing requirements from the specialist department, finding suitable solutions, and communicating these within the team.
  • The engineer will ensure optimal performance and code quality of the solutions.
  • The position also requires utilizing AI-based tools and generative AI, such as LLM-Prompting, to bring in new ideas.
  • Additionally, the engineer will act as a mentor, supporting other team members through code reviews and sharing experiences and technology know-how.

Requirements:

  • A completed degree, vocational training, or relevant professional experience in the field of computer science is required.
  • Ideally, candidates should have at least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering or a comparable position.
  • Experience in prompting Large Language Models (LLMs) and working with generative AI is preferred, or a strong motivation to learn about these topics.
  • Candidates must be able to create web applications using Python/Django and have experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience with the Python/Django REST Framework, pytest, and optionally databases like MSSQL is required.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is necessary.
