Description:

Seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to manage a backend ecosystem for financial aid and textbook rentals across 1,200 university bookstores on Shopify.
Responsible for handling thousands of orders and financial transactions daily, requiring strong backend engineering skills and production ownership.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional PHP experience, with at least 3 years in Laravel.
Strong experience with asynchronous systems, SQL skills (preferably SQL Server), and cloud experience (ideally Azure).
Experience integrating with complex external systems and APIs (SOAP, XML, SFTP).
Strong judgment in financial transactions and solid testing practices.
Ability to troubleshoot production systems independently.
