Description:

  • Seeking experienced Senior Cable System Design Engineers for the Transmission & Distribution team at AECOM.
  • Role involves full lifecycle cable engineering from feasibility studies to commissioning on various projects, including National Grid’s Great Grid Upgrade.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Cable System Design Engineering for HV/EHV projects; FEED experience is essential.
  • Understanding of cable routing, burial risk assessments, electromagnetic and thermal analysis, and compliance with IEC, CIGRÉ, and NG-TPs.
  • Familiarity with tools like CYMCAP, WinCable, AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and mechanical simulation tools is ideal.
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field; Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
