Remote Senior Data Platform Engineer

Description:

• Lead the design and delivery of complex data engineering projects, partnering with stakeholders from concept to implementation.
• Design and develop core components of the data platform, including real-time data pipelines and machine learning enablement.
• Embed best practices and governance into the Data Platform for consistent and confident building by other teams.
• Develop orchestration and automation capabilities to streamline data workflows and improve efficiency.
• Own estimation, planning, and execution of complex projects, including new features and service upgrades.
• Write high-quality, performant code for real-time data processing and infrastructure management.
• Mentor engineers, promoting best practices in data engineering through guidance and code reviews.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in building low-latency, real-time data applications.
• Hands-on expertise with real-time/event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub) and in-stream processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, Spark).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) for managing production-grade data infrastructure.
• Experience in building platform capabilities for other engineers and teams.
• Team-first mindset with a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including Product Managers and Engineers.
