Description:

Lead the development of new features end-to-end, from refining requirements to shipping and monitoring in production.
Drive technical design of significant system changes and set development standards for the Backend team.
Mentor team members and promote learning within the team.
Enthuse about new technology and enhance the existing technology stack.
Operate autonomously to identify problems, propose solutions, and implement them without management oversight.

Requirements:

Strong backend experience in modern PHP (7/8+) with knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and testability.
Proficient in shipping production React/TypeScript features independently.
Experience with high-traffic web applications and understanding of scalability issues.
Practical experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.
Experience designing and consuming HTTP APIs, managing third-party reliability.
Familiarity with AI coding tools and ability to critically assess their output.
Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-engineers.
Good judgment and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
