As a Senior Software Engineer on the CMS Team, you will create the authoring experience for merchants to manage their accounts, build and deploy apps, create marketing campaigns, and review business performance.
Your responsibilities will include building a powerful graphical editor using React/Next.js and CLI tools for developers to customize apps.
You will work closely with product, design, and solutions engineering teams, ensuring value delivery and quick iterations.
Key tasks include building an intuitive drag-and-drop editor, integrating AI for productivity, delivering command-line tools, prototyping new features, and maintaining clean, testable code with documentation.
Requirements:
You must have 5-7 years of experience in software engineering.
A minimum of 3 years of full-stack development experience with React and Next.js (TypeScript) is required.
A strong understanding of state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil) and experience with drag-and-drop libraries is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud deployments and hosting is expected.
You should be able to ship production-ready code in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Bonus points for having Shopify or eCommerce experience, prior work on editor/CMS applications, GraphQL experience, a background in UX, product or design critique, and contributions to open-source component libraries or command-line tools.
