Description:

  • Circle is building an all-in-one platform for online communities, enabling creators, coaches, educators, and businesses to engage their audiences through discussions, live streams, events, chat, courses, and payments.
  • The company is fully remote with around 200 team members from over 30 countries, focusing on high expectations and collaboration across time zones.
  • The Senior Quality Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain internal tooling, automation, workflows, and quality infrastructure to help teams ship faster and safer.
  • This role combines software engineering, developer experience, and quality strategy, focusing on building scalable and measurable quality systems.
  • Responsibilities include developing the Quality Platform, improving developer experience, building reliability systems, defining standards, and creating "golden paths" for developers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must align with Circle's values and be proficient in English at a CEFR Level C2 or ILR Level 5.
  • Strong experience in at least one modern testing framework (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Jest, JUnit).
  • A solid software engineering background in languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python is required.
  • Familiarity with Ruby is necessary as it is used in backend systems.
  • Experience in building internal tooling, utilities, or engineering platforms is essential.
  • A deep understanding of CI/CD processes and knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with quality telemetry, observability, monitoring, and performance/load testing.
  • A quality engineering mindset with shift-left and shift-right testing practices, and the ability to design high-leverage systems is necessary.
  • Candidates should be collaborative, curious, and passionate about elevating quality across the organization.
