Remote Senior Security Engineer - Security Operations

Description:

• Shape secure software development at Checkatrade by designing platforms and guardrails for engineering teams.
• Implement scalable security controls across a multi-cloud environment and drive a modern secure SDLC.
• Prototype AI agents for code review and vulnerability management.
• Own security for IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms, ensuring least privilege is the default.
• Collaborate with engineering to create secure libraries and tooling.
• Conduct technical security reviews for new applications and infrastructure changes.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in application security, cloud security, and platform engineering.
• Strong perspective on the role of AI in code review and developer enablement.
• Extensive hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Genuine empathy for developers, gained through direct collaboration and observation.
