Description:

  • Join Wealthsimple's Core Balances team as a Senior Software Developer, focusing on backend systems that track client money.
  • Design, build, and operate services for real-time balances and financial activity, ensuring high availability and low latency.
  • Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to simplify complex financial logic for users.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with critical production systems.
  • Strong backend engineering skills, particularly in Kotlin, Java, Kafka, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with high-availability services and maintaining performance under load.
  • Ability to work in a mature codebase and improve it incrementally.
  • Strong communication skills and a curiosity about financial systems.
