Remote Senior Software Engineer (Golang, Kubernetes) - Cloud Compute Team

Description:

• Join the Cloud Compute team to extend and operate foundational Kubernetes infrastructure supporting Canva's services.
• Focus on designing, building, and operating Kubernetes infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, along with automation for cluster lifecycle management.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge in Computer Engineering/Science, particularly in concurrency, multithreading, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience as a Senior Software Engineer with platform or infrastructure products in Golang.
• Strong experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production at scale.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems, including kernel, networking, and performance troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices and GitOps workflows.
• Understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience with observability systems and practices (metrics, logging, alerting).
• Methodical approach to debugging complex distributed systems.
• Comfortable working across cloud providers with adaptability.
• Experience using generative AI tools in engineering workflows.
