Description:

Design, build, and maintain Kotlin APIs and backend services for MNTN’s pacing and ad delivery systems.
Own critical infrastructure for optimization decisions across campaigns and audiences.
Enhance engineering quality and team culture through mentorship and technical leadership.
Scale microservices for high performance and reliability.
Optimize existing services for better performance and maintainability.
Collaborate with Business and Project Leads to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with distributed systems using Kotlin and Python.
Expertise in non-relational and relational databases, including SQL and performance tuning.
Experience with microservices architecture in production environments.
Familiarity with tech stacks including Rust, Python, and data platforms like PySpark.
Knowledge of Kafka or high-throughput messaging systems.
Practical experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX environments and developer tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
Product mindset with curiosity about customer impact and system performance.
Enthusiastic about using AI tools to enhance productivity.
Exposure to OpenRTB, DSP, or ad delivery optimizations is a plus.
