Remote Software Developer — Android - Canada

Description:

• Design, develop, and sustain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Java.
• Lead architectural modernization and modularization to improve scalability and cross-platform reuse.
• Define and own the entire lifecycle of systems including feature ideation, API design, deployment, and continuous iteration.
• Influence and evolve architecture by proposing initiatives to decompose monoliths and evaluate new Android platform capabilities.
• Apply AI-driven tools and automation frameworks to enhance development speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and data teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern concurrency tools (Coroutines, Flows).
• Proven track record of architecting modular, maintainable systems.
• Strong background in performance optimization and system-level debugging.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve developer velocity and product intelligence.
• Ability to create and lead roadmaps that align with business objectives.
• Experience as a technical leader influencing roadmap decisions and mentoring developers.
