Serve Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for the Machine Learning (ML) Infrastructure team to help design, build, and maintain a petabyte-scale data and ML platform.
The role involves developing and maintaining highly scalable data processing pipelines for data curation, annotation, search, and ML feature extraction.
Responsibilities include building data discovery features, creating and maintaining search features such as natural language querying, and developing orchestration and scheduling systems.
The engineer will maintain and evolve data schemas, build integrations with annotation providers, and collaborate with autonomy engineers to improve documentation and run tutorials on platform features.
The company aims to grow robotic deliveries from novelty to ubiquity, benefiting local businesses and enhancing user experience.
Requirements:
A BS or MS in computer science with a focus on data engineering and/or machine learning is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of industry experience in building, running, and improving large-volume data processing, feature extraction, and data annotation workflows.
Experience in building data mining and search capabilities is necessary.
Proficiency in both Python and SQL is required.
A solid understanding of data distributions and their impact on ML models is essential.
Hands-on experience and a good understanding of LLMs, VLMs, embeddings, and vector databases are required.
Experience with data annotation providers such as CVAT, LabelBox, and LabelStudio is necessary.
