Description:

Bree is a consumer finance platform focused on providing affordable financial services to Canadians living paycheck to paycheck.
The role is for a Product Engineering Co-op to work on customer-facing features across backend and mobile apps for an 8-month term (January - August 2027).

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program, available for the full 8-month term.
Experience in software development through coursework, projects, or internships; a GitHub profile or portfolio is a plus.
Foundational knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript; interest in Node.js, React, React Native, or APIs.
Basic skills in Git, debugging, and testing; AWS experience is helpful but not required.
Interest in product thinking and user experience; strong communication and collaborative skills.
Thoughtful approach to using AI in development.

Compensation of $50-$70/hour CAD, based on experience.
Open to matching competing offers.
Monthly stipends for lunch ($250) and transportation ($150).
