Description:

Own the long-term technical direction for application security across Thumbtack, building prioritized roadmaps and driving remediation of systemic security risks.
Lead large, cross-functional security initiatives from problem definition through delivery, designing secure architectures and embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in software engineering and application security with a strong understanding of secure coding practices and application security frameworks.
Deep expertise in secure system design, modern application security tools, and securing cloud-native systems (AWS and/or GCP).
Proven track record of leading large technical initiatives and strong analytical skills to prioritize security investments.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
