RemoFirst is transforming global hiring and management through an all-in-one HR platform.
Seeking a Staff Back-End Engineer with expertise in Python and Java to enhance existing systems and transition parts of the backend to Java.
Role involves strong technical ownership, collaboration with international teams, and a focus on product quality.

Requirements:

8+ years of backend software development experience.
Strong experience with Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) and Java (preferably Spring Boot).
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL); NoSQL exposure is a plus.
Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, TDD, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern workflows.
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
