Remote Staff Backend Engineer

Description:

• Work as a Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale robust services, contributing to the product roadmap and seeing projects through to production.

Requirements:

• Java Proficiency: Excellent skills in Java and significant experience in the Spring ecosystem.
• Database Proficiency: Commercial experience with SQL and database schema design.
• Ownership: Ability to work autonomously and own features end-to-end.
• Distributed Systems: Experience in designing microservices, including service boundaries and API contracts.
• Cloud and Containers: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in AWS or similar environments.
• Reliability and Performance: Skills in diagnosing production issues and improving observability.
• Technical Leadership: Ability to set technical direction and raise engineering standards.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication in English and attention to detail.
• Extra Credit: Experience with Python, FastAPI, Voice AI Models, and Agentic AI workflows is a plus.
