Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Chainguard is a trusted source for open source, delivering secure and production-ready builds of software.
• The Staff Software Engineer will own a significant domain within the clearing house, focusing on customer onboarding workflows, entitlement management, or data validation pipelines.
• Responsibilities include driving backend system architecture in Go on GCP, leading data pipeline design, and establishing engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of owning large, complex systems in production.
• Strong Go engineering skills; experience with GCP and Terraform.
• Proven experience in building systems that process and validate data from unstructured sources.
• Experience designing systems with customer entitlement levels and access controls.
• Familiarity with observability tooling and a background in security or infrastructure is a plus.
