Luna is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their internal Engineering team, which is focused on redefining physical therapy through innovative technology.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of the internal marketplace console, including scheduling, automations, payment flow, customer communications, reports, and dashboards.
The Staff Engineer will identify and propose strategies for technical problems and lead cross-functional projects to enhance solutions.
Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending tools and technologies, mentoring less senior engineers, prioritizing tech debt, and minimizing technical complexity while delivering high-quality solutions.
The position requires solving complex software problems with a focus on resilience, fault tolerance, scalability, and stability.
The Staff Engineer will also work with external contractors and test, release, and monitor their own code.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering software across multiple stacks and/or products.
A minimum of 8 years of experience with Ruby and 3+ years with at least one other programming language is required.
Comfort with both Frontend and Backend engineering is necessary, with the ability to flex between both as needed.
The candidate should demonstrate the ability to own projects from start to finish and lead cross-functional projects effectively.
Proficiency in developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring code with quality and timeliness is essential.
Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services to enhance platform capabilities is required.
A self-starting, technically motivated individual with a desire to impact healthcare delivery is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
