Description:

  • Join Wealthsimple as a Staff Software Engineer on the Observability Platform team, focusing on making production legible for engineers and AI agents.
  • Design and build the Event Foundation, SDKs, and set technical standards for logging, metrics, and tracing.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in building platforms.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Ruby) and experience with telemetry platforms and ingestion pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of event data, streaming/columnar backends, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and navigate complex codebases.
