Description:

Lead the architecture and implementation of Chainguard's Repository team’s core systems, including package registries, APIs, and production services.
Build and operate high-availability backend services in Go, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance for customer-facing systems.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in production backend or infrastructure systems with evidence of technical leadership.
Strong experience in Go or deep backend systems experience with the ability to learn Go quickly.
Experience with customer-facing infrastructure such as package registries or high-scale serving systems.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
Excellent communication skills, especially in remote environments.
