Description:

Lead the architecture and implementation of Chainguard's Repository team’s core systems, including package registries, APIs, and production services.
Focus on building high-availability backend services in Go, improving reliability and performance, and expanding the repository experience across various artifact types.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in production backend or infrastructure systems with evidence of technical leadership.
Strong experience in Go or deep backend systems experience with the ability to learn Go quickly.
Experience with customer-facing infrastructure such as package registries, APIs, or high-scale serving systems.
Proficient in deploying and managing production services with a focus on reliability and performance.
Familiarity with application and infrastructure layers, including cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities, especially in remote settings.
