Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is seeking a System Engineer to join the MasterFamily project team.
The position involves working in an international environment, utilizing English and German language skills daily.
The MasterFamily applications, including ImageMaster, TypeMaster, and NormMaster, have been developed and marketed by T-Systems for over 30 years and serve a broad enterprise customer base worldwide.
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and administering NormMaster, TypeMaster, and ImageMaster components in customer environments.
The role requires planning, coordinating, consulting, and implementing migrations, including moving environments and migrating data.
The engineer will plan and execute changes such as release updates, fix deployments, and other system modifications.
Responding to incidents and service requests, troubleshooting issues, and applying configuration changes are key tasks.
The position involves discussing requirements and providing consulting to customers.
Performing manual and automated testing to ensure system reliability and quality is essential.
The engineer will create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and changes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer.
A strong knowledge of Linux (e.g., RHEL, SLES) and Shell scripting is required.
Experience with databases, preferably Oracle and PostgreSQL, and SQL is necessary.
An understanding of IT infrastructure, including network and storage components, is essential.
Familiarity with SSL/TLS and certificate handling is required.
Knowledge of Apache httpd and SSO technologies (SAML2, OpenIDC) is necessary.
A strong sense of quality and a testing mindset, along with a willingness to learn new technologies, is expected.
Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools is required.
Good language skills in both English and German are mandatory.
Candidates must be willing to communicate with customers, primarily in operations and support.
