Remote System Engineer (Storage) (REF4532W)

Description:

• The position involves designing, implementing, and managing enterprise storage solutions using technologies such as NetApp ONTAP, Dell EMC (e.g., PowerMax, Unity), and Huawei OceanStor, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing SAN and NAS environments, which encompasses zoning, LUN provisioning, replication, and snapshots, utilizing Brocade fibre channel infrastructure.
• The role requires performing storage capacity planning and lifecycle management to ensure compliance with organizational policies and accommodate future growth requirements.
• Developing and maintaining data protection strategies, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes across heterogeneous storage systems, is a key responsibility.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (network, virtualization, applications) is essential to ensure seamless storage integration and performance tuning.
• The candidate will lead incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex storage issues, while also documenting configurations and maintaining operational procedures.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in IT is required.
• The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in managing and implementing storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Huawei OceanStor, NetApp ONTAP, and other enterprise storage solutions is necessary.
• Expert knowledge of cloud storage solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is required.
• Strong communication skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication competencies in English, are essential for this role.
