Description:
- Lead the Plan team responsible for systems that help students plan their academic journeys, including degree planning, scheduling, and registration.
- Ensure reliability and performance of systems during peak loads and evolve product features for personalized planning experiences.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a focus on high-stakes systems.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with asynchronous/event-based architectures and designing systems for peak load.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance product evolution with system stability and performance.
