The company provides software and professional services for AI-powered multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development, IVD development, validation, and regulatory approval, and clinical NGS interpretation, reporting, and adoption.
As a Technical Lead, you will guide the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable software systems with a strong focus on security and compliance.
You will lead a team of engineers, participate in architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-performance products.
Responsibilities include providing hands-on leadership, leading the development of scalable, secure microservices, participating in architectural design sessions, overseeing application integration, and translating requirements into technical solutions.
You will also stay current with emerging technologies, guide and mentor engineers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Requirements:
Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architecture is required.
Strong experience with Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, Application Programming Interfaces (API), and databases is necessary.
Hands-on experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is essential.
You must have hands-on experience upgrading Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks to the latest stable versions, including dependency modernization and resolving upgrade-related issues.
Experience with GitLab, automated testing, and modern CI/CD workflows is required.
A minimum of 8 years in software engineering with significant experience in Java-based backend systems is necessary.
You should have at least 3 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
Experience in developing software in a regulated environment is a plus.
Experience working in clinical informatics, health care, life sciences, or other regulated environments is also a plus.
