The Finanzen.net Group is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops/DevOps Engineer to design, secure, and operate a multi-account AWS environment for regulated financial workloads.
The role involves automating infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and security controls across various AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
The engineer will build and maintain infrastructure that supports over 400,000 end customers and five product development teams, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
Core responsibilities include managing Amazon EC2 and ECS for containerized workloads, implementing networking and traffic routing, operating data services, optimizing storage and CDN delivery, and ensuring uptime and availability of infrastructure and application workloads.
The engineer will also build reproducible infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, define and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate compliance/security requirements, configure observability tools, establish alerting and runbooks, enforce security measures, and support data integration.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as VPC, Route 53, API Gateway, WAF, CloudFront, EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3 is required.
Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and CDK for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is necessary.
Experience with observability tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray, as well as operational metrics, is essential.
Knowledge of security practices including IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and compliance policy enforcement is required.
Scripting skills in Python/Bash and experience with Linux administration are mandatory.
Experience with OpenSearch, Kinesis, Redshift, and ElastiCache is a plus.
Familiarity with AWS DevOps Guru, Step Functions, and Backup is advantageous.
Knowledge of BaFin cloud outsourcing and DORA compliance is beneficial.
