We are looking for an experienced Back-end Java Developer to join our team and work with one of the leading Mail platforms in the world.
The role involves migrating core mail services to the cloud, requiring a cloud-agnostic approach to lift and shift existing functionality.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Java-based applications on cloud platforms, optimizing and modernizing applications for future growth, and ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of solutions.
The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deploy complex applications on AWS or GCP and leading and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong back-end experience in software development using Java and object-oriented programming skills.
A strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is required.
Experience with AWS or GCP is essential.
Candidates should have an understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with distributed systems and large-scale systems is necessary.
Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of design patterns are required.
Candidates must possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SQL and RDS databases is required.
Nice to have experience includes familiarity with DevOps tools and practices and leadership experience.

The position is preferred as full-time (40 hours per week), but part-time candidates who can ramp up to full-time in 3-4 weeks will be considered.
There is a requirement for 6+ hours of overlap with PST.
The client will provide a MacBook for the talent to use during the engagement.
