Description:

  • The role involves designing and developing scalable backend services using Python and Django, focusing on core financial products.
  • Responsibilities include building and maintaining RESTful APIs that power customer-facing applications and internal tools.
  • The engineer will implement robust data models and database schemas to support the financial services infrastructure.
  • Writing clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests is essential.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements is required.
  • The position includes optimizing application performance and ensuring high availability of services.
  • Participation in code reviews and contribution to technical documentation is expected.
  • Monitoring and maintaining production systems to ensure reliability and security is part of the job.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
  • Strong proficiency in Django or other Python API frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask) is necessary.
  • Experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and ORM frameworks is required.
  • Knowledge of API design principles and microservices architecture is essential.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms is needed.
  • A solid understanding of version control with Git is required.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest) is necessary.
  • Understanding of security best practices and data protection is important.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of successful team collaboration are essential.
